WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Q:What if I want a custom safari?
A:We would be delighted to work with you to help you and your family, friends or organization plan the best possible safari to match your interests and budget. We organize custom safaris for professional photographers, honeymoon couples and families.

Q:Can I take my children on safari?
A:YES! Willels Tours has a personal understanding and deep commitment to meeting the special needs of families. We have designed our unique family safari programs to allow you and your children to experience the wonders of Africa together. Please explain you families interests so that we can work on them.

You'll have a chance to deepen your understanding of cultural diversity, discover the many miracles of nature, and at the same time play, laugh, and enjoy the pleasure of one another's company. Our trips are well suited for children.

Q:Will I stay in tents or lodges?
A:Our safaris offer a wide array of safari styles to suit your interests and budget. Please see our website for a description of the different types of accommodations we use on our trips.

Q:How big are your safari groups?
A:Small. Our scheduled safaris vary in size depending on the nature of the safari. We keep our groups small (the very maximum is 50 people, minimal 1 - 5 people) to allow a more intimate connection with the African bush.

Q:What clothes should I bring on safari?

A:Pack lightweight, washable cloths plus a sweater for early morning game drives, a sunhat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Long sleeves and trousers in light-colored fabrics help discourage insect bites. Shorts for women are acceptable (but not too short). Women should carry a wrap to cover legs in the village and towns as revealing cloths can cause offence, especially in Zanzibar and Muslim areas. On the beach and within the confines of beach hotels normal swim wear (but not nudity) is acceptable. For climbing on Kilimanjaro and Meru, take thermal underwear, light layers, sweater, rain jacket, good socks and sturdy boots.

Safari dress is comfortable and casual - layers are recommended. Keep it simple and bring things you don't mind getting dusty. We have number of links that can help you on your preparation.

Q:What is the food like on safari?
A:You will be pleasantly surprised by both the quality and the variety of the food available on safari. In most lodges, meals are served buffet-style so you can choose what you like. The food is prepared according to western tastes, with some curries and local cuisine included. If you choose a camping safari, fresh meat and produce is prepared by our expert chefs to the highest sanitary standards. Most returning guests rave about our camp food! A request for local food is welcome. Mostly we buy food for camping safaris before we start the safari so you have a chance of telling exactly what kind of food you would like to have while on safari.

Q:Can special dietary requirements be accommodated?
A:Special dietary requirements such as vegetarian or diabetic meals can easily be arranged with advanced notice. If you are vegetarian or vegan you may wish to bring along some alternative protein sources. If you have multiple food allergies, you'll definitely want to bring along supplemental snacks. It is important we know of any possible dietary restrictions as soon as possible.

Q:Is it OK to drink the water?
A:We provide at least two liters of bottled water a day for every client, and you can purchase more bottled water at all the lodges and camps or before the Safari.

Q:What shots should I get?
A:For medical advice it is always best to consult your doctor or travel clinic. The minimum requirements for entry into Tanzania are a yellow fever vaccination and anti-malarial medication. Bear in mind that you will be staying in camps and lodges oriented to meet the needs of American and European guests.

Q:What if the Car get break down?

A:Willels Tours is responsible for sending a rescue vehicle (s)  within 4hrs - 5hrs ofreceiving the information of the break down. A rescue will be done and compensations will be made based on time replacement (extra half day or full day) or refund of 30% of a full day tour deducted from the total tour cost per day. The distance from the event will also determine the arrival time of a rescue vehicle (s). A quick evacuation can also be done by flying doctors (which will be included in the package on your request). or transfer to a near by Hotel or lodge for accommodation and catering services. If the car can be maintained on the field and continue then there will be no need of sending a rescue vehicles instead we will replace the time by adding extra time on the game
